Dana’s Fight
The Dana’s Fight Fundraiser Shirt was created to stand behind Dana Thomasson as she once again faces a battle with breast cancer. Created with input from her friends, and her law enforcement family at the La Marque Police Department and Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, this design represents the strength, loyalty, and determination that Dana has carried throughout her life and career.
Dana has never been the type to back down from a fight. She’s tough, stubborn, fiercely loyal, and the person who shows up when someone needs her most. Throughout her career in law enforcement, she has spent years standing beside others during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
In October 2023, Dana was diagnosed with Stage 2A breast cancer. What followed was an incredibly difficult journey that included eight rounds of chemotherapy, 36 rounds of radiation, surgeries, recovery, and everything that comes with fighting cancer. And she fought like hell.
After being cancer free for almost 2 years, in September Dana received devastating news that her cancer had returned
Dana served with the La Marque Police Department for 7 years before joining the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office in March 2026. She has built a career around showing up for others, running toward difficult situations, and standing beside people when they need someone in their corner. Now it’s our turn to stand in hers.
100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to support Dana Thomasson in her cancer fight through the Relentless Defender Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations made through the Foundation are tax deductible.
