Deputy Sheriff Richard Haggard
Relentless Defender is honored to release this pre-order fundraiser design in memory of Deputy Sheriff Richard Haggard, a dedicated and compassionate public servant who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on February 2nd, 2026.
The Deputy Sheriff Richard Haggard memorial design was created to honor a hero who gave his life in the line of duty. Deputy Haggard was tragically struck and killed while directing traffic. He faithfully served six years with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. Prior to that, he devoted 12 years to the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
This tribute design was developed in close collaboration with his wife to ensure every detail reflects the man he was, not just the uniform he wore. Prominently featured is his End of Watch date (EOW), alongside the badge of the department he proudly served. His signature hat is incorporated into the artwork as a symbol of duty and commitment.
Completing the tribute is a deeply personal element: the motto he lived by and faithfully shared with his wife each morning before heading out the door “Today is a good day to have a good day.” That message stands as a powerful reminder of love, devotion, and the human heart behind the badge.
The Deputy Sheriff Richard Haggard memorial shirt is more than apparel, it is a symbol of remembrance, unity, and support for the family he leaves behind. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, and this design stands as a way for the community to continue wrapping them in strength and solidarity.
This is a 100% donation fundraiser, with all proceeds directly supporting the family of Deputy Sheriff Richard Haggard through the Relentless Defender Foundation, our registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every purchase is tax deductible, allowing supporters to honor a fallen hero while providing tangible support to his loved ones.
This item is offered as a pre-order fundraiser, closing on March 11th, 2026. Production will begin immediately after the fundraiser concludes, with orders scheduled to ship starting March 12th, 2026.
Wear it with purpose. Share it with pride. Honor a life of service that will never be forgotten.
