Officer Suzanne O Memorial Band
Relentless Defender is honored to release this pre-order fundraiser design in memory of Officer Suzanne O Memorial Band, a courageous public servant with the Maui County Police Department who was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty on August 15, 2025.
Officer O was responding to a call involving trespassing, threats, and reports of an armed subject firing a handgun near the Paia Sugar Mill. While searching the area with fellow officers, she was ambushed by the suspect hiding behind a concrete pillar. Officer O was struck in the chest and under her left arm. Despite life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her wounds at the scene.
The suspect, a convicted felon with a recent restraining order for the premises, was wounded in the exchange and later arrested. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Officer O served with distinction for five years and was assigned to District 1, Bravo Watch. In 2023, she was awarded the Certificate of Merit for her outstanding service, reflecting the deep respect she earned throughout her department and community.
This design was created in close collaboration with her department and loved ones to honor her sacrifice, courage, and legacy. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will go directly to Officer O’s family through the Relentless Defender Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
This pre-order fundraiser will close on September 10, with all orders beginning to ship on September 11, 2025. Once the pre-order window closes, this tribute design will be retired.
