Sgt. Grant Candies
Relentless Defender is humbled to release this pre-order fundraiser design honoring the life, service, and sacrifice of Sgt. Grant Candies of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office. On March 23, 2025, Sgt. Candies was tragically killed in the line of duty while heroically deploying spike strips to stop a fleeing suspect. His final act was one of courage, dedication, and selfless service to his community.
This commemorative design was created with heartfelt input from his co-workers and loving family to ensure it reflects the strength, honor, and character that defined Sgt. Candies. Prominently featured is the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office patch and badge, adorned with a black mourning ribbon inscribed with his End of Watch date: 3-23-25. Standing boldly on either side of the badge are two lions, representing protection, bravery, and unwavering strength—qualities Sgt. Candies carried every day in uniform.
At the bottom of the design is a quote that Sgt. Candies was known for sharing with his colleagues:
“When life closes a door, breach the wall and walk in like a boss.”
It’s a powerful reminder of his relentless attitude, fearlessness in the face of adversity, and the leadership he brought to every shift.
