Deputy Gerald Atchison Jr. Memorial Band
The Deputy Gerald Atchison Jr. Memorial Band was created by Relentless Defender to honor the life, service, and legacy of Smith County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Gerald “Jerry” Atchison Jr. Created with the help and input of Jerry’s family and the fellow deputies who served alongside him.
On July 7, 2026, Deputy Atchison suffered a medical emergency while on duty. His passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving behind his wife, son, family, friends, and a law enforcement family who had served beside him for more than two decades.
Jerry began his career with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office in September 2003. Throughout his career he served in numerous roles. His willingness to serve wherever he was needed speaks to the dependability, dedication, and commitment he brought to his department. For nearly 23 years, he remained a familiar and trusted member of the Smith County Sheriff’s Office family.
Known affectionately as “Jerry” by his family, he will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a loyal friend and coworker, and a dedicated public servant who spent much of his life serving others. His impact extended far beyond the badge to the family, friends, and fellow deputies who knew him best.
This is a Pre-Sale fundraiser that will end on September 2nd and begin to ship out September 2nd.
100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated directly to Deputy Gerald Atchison Jr.’s family through the Relentless Defender Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making all donations tax deductible.
