During his nine years with Odessa Fire Rescue, Lieutenant Isai Huerta was a respected leader, mentor, and friend whose dedication to the fire service and his crew was unmatched. Genuine, kind, and highly skilled, he left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Above all, he cherished his wife, family, and friends, and loved spending time outdoors creating memories with those he cared about most.
On June 14, 2026, Lieutenant Isai Huerta answered his Last Alarm after suffering critical injuries while operating at a residential trailer fire in Odessa, Texas. Despite the efforts of his fellow firefighters and medical personnel, Lt. Huerta succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a legacy of service, leadership, and compassion that will never be forgotten.
This fundraiser gives friends, family members, first responders, and supporters across the nation the opportunity to honor Lt. Huerta’s memory while directly supporting his wife during this unimaginable loss. Every t-shirt purchased helps provide financial support to his wife while preserving the legacy of a man whose commitment to service, leadership, and love for others touched countless lives.
